What This Privacy Policy Is For?

 

This Privacy Policy explains how we ("TreadShare LLC" or "TreadShare") collect, use and disclose information about you when you visit www.treadshare.com (the "Site") and/or use our Application as defined in our Terms of Use. This Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") will be updated from time-to-time, without notice to you. You agree that by using and/or visiting our Site, you agree to this paragraph and the entirety of the Privacy Policy. 

 

Your Consent

 

By visiting, using or navigating our Site, you consent to the collection of Non-Personally Identifiable Information (non-PII). By creating an account, you consent to the use of your Personally Identifiable Information ("PII") in accordance with this policy.

 

Protecting Your Private Information

 

TreadShare makes all attempts to protect your private information. Your account information may be made available to TreadShare staff members and designated subcontractors specifically to assist you with the Services to which you have subscribed. Some account information may also be made available to other Users of the Application.

 

TreadShare, or people who post on TreadShare, may provide links or interfaces with third-party websites, which may have different privacy practices. TreadShare is not responsible for, and does not have any control over, the privacy policies of those third-party websites, and encourages all users to read the privacy policies of each website visited.

 

TreadShare may sell user or client data to third parties under certain circumstance, including but not limited to advertising, data farming, and external research. 

 

What Data We Collect

 

a. Personally Identifying Information (PII): If you register for a TreadShare account, TreadShare collects the following data: your email address; your physical contact information; your vehicle make, model, and license plate number; your phone number; information based on your activities on the Site; correspondence through the Site, and correspondence sent to TreadShare; additional information TreadShare may ask you to submit including, but not limited to, information to authenticate yourself, information to prove that you are able to enter into a legally binding contract, or information if TreadShare believes you are violating its policies; your driver license information; your insurance information; your vehicle registration information; social media account information; and, other supplemental information from third parties. TreadShare also collects data about how you use TreadShare"s Service, including, but not limited to, search data, call information, and other information that you access through the Service. TreadShare sometimes collects your email address, for purposes such as sending confirmation emails, authenticating your accounts, and sending information about TreadShare and its Services. By submitting your email to the Site, you consent to emails from TreadShare. TreadShare sometimes collects your phone number for the purpose of contacting you regarding your account and the services TreadShare. By submitting your phone number to TreadShare, you consent to phone calls from TreadShare, even if such number is registered through a state or federal "Do Not Call" list. TreadShare may collect personal information if you provide it in feedback or comments or if you contact TreadShare directly. Any information posted on the public areas of Site is not confidential. Please do not post anything on the public areas of Site that you would like to keep private.

 

b. Cookies: Cookies can be used to recognize your browser when you visit our Site, remember your preferences, and give you a personalized experience in accordance with your browser"s settings.These cookies collect information about your use of our Site and app and enable us to improve the way it works. For example, analytics cookies show us which are the most frequently visited pages on our Site. They help us record how you interact with our Site, such as how you navigate around pages and from page to page and to identify improvements we can make. They also help identify any difficulties you have accessing our Services as defined in our Terms of Use, so we can fix any problems. These cookies also allow us to see overall patterns of usage.

 

c. Web beacons: These are bits of data that count the number of users who access a Site or webpage and can also allow us to see if a cookie has been activated. Web beacons used on web pages or in emails allow us to see how successful a campaign has been or that an email message was successfully delivered and read in a marketing campaign. Web beacons are also used to verify any clicks through to links or advertisements contained in emails. We may use this information to help us identify which emails are more interesting to you. Web beacons may collect some PII, such as the email address associated with an email that contains a web beacon.

 

d. Device ID Data: If you use our Application, we may collect a unique device identifier assigned to that device, geo-location data, and other transactional information for that device. We may also use the unique identifier to validate free trials, or assess if you have visited a location, for example. TreadShare does collect geotracking information. By using the Site, the Application, and/or Services, you consent to such information being obtained by TreadShare. We obtain information about your physical location through geolocation features on your device, including GPS (e.g. latitude and/or longitude). If you use our Services, we may disclose your location to Riders and/or Drivers that you engage in Carpool Rides with. We may use this information to improve order efficiency and enhance your User experience. We may also infer your location based on other information we collect. For example, your IP Address indicates the general geographic region from which you are connecting to the Internet.

 

e. Weblogs. TreadShare"s weblogs collect standard weblog entries for each page served, including your IP address, page URL, and timestamp. Weblogs help TreadShare diagnose problems with our server, to administer the Site, and to otherwise provide service and products to you. In addition, TreadShare may collect other information from your interaction with our Site, services, content, and advertising, including computer and connection information, statistics on page views, traffic to and from the Site, ad data, IP address, demographic and navigational data, and standard weblog information. This information may be obtained for TreadShare from a third-party provider including, but not limited to, through the use of Google Analytics. TreadShare may use this information for marketing, commercial, and/or any other purpose as TreadShare sees fit.

 

f. Non-Personally Identifiable Information (non-PII). TreadShare may collect your IP address, any information associated with your IP address, and general information available through analytics programs.

 

How We Use and Share Data We Collect

 

a. Personally Identifying Information: We use PII to provide Services to you. In addition, even if you do not use the Services, we may use any PII that we have collected to send you information about the Services, to provide content that we think you will find relevant, and for data analytic purposes.

 

b. Cookie Data: Unless you clear these cookies from your browser, we may use this information to: (i) provide us aggregate Site behavior and insights, (ii) provide more relevant content, (iii) provide aggregate reports of usage activity, (iv) help understand how our customers and visitors engage with our Site or apps, (v) detect and defend against fraud and other risks to protect us and you (vi) improve our Site, services or products, and (vii) provide relevant content The content on our Site and in our communications with you may be adjusted depending on what we know about the content, products and services that you like.

 

Opt In Email Address

If you have provided your personal email to receive communication with us, we follow email communication according to the CAN-SPAM Act compliance. Each email will have a visible unsubscribe button that will allow you to stop communication from us at any moment. We adhere to best practices for interest-based advertising (behavioral and contextual) and participate in industry opt-outs from such ads. All our emails include an opt-out link. If for any reason you receive an email after opting out, please contact us immediately so we can make sure you"re not getting unwanted emails.

 

Data Retention

We reserve the right to retain all data received indefinitely, including any PII that we have received from you. However, we can only guarantee access to such information for three business days after it is received. All information posted to this Site may be stored in the Site"s database, even after "deletion", and may be archived elsewhere.

 

In the event TreadShare, its successors, any of its subsidiaries, or services is acquired or purchased, everything mentioned in this paragraph will be included in said sale, purchase, or acquisition.

 

The Site"s weblogs and other records are stored indefinitely. This may include any information you supply to TreadShare, your purchase history, and your browsing history. However, TreadShare cannot guarantee access to these records by third parties for more than three business days after the original information was submitted.

 

Although TreadShare makes good faith efforts to store the information in a secure operating environment that is not available to the public, TreadShare cannot guarantee complete security. 

 

TreadShare may store information in an off-site location, which may or may not be located in the United States and may not be bound by the laws of the United States.

 

Archiving and Display of The Site by Search Engines and Other Websites

 

Search engines and other websites not affiliated with TreadShare - including Google.com and Yahoo.com - archive or otherwise make available TreadShare"s main public-facing corporate pages. TreadShare has no control over third party archiving and search engine websites and cannot guarantee the accuracy of any information stored by these websites. 

 

Circumstances Under Which TreadShare May Release Information

 

TreadShare may disclose information about its users if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal processes.

 

TreadShare may disclose information about its users, including but not limited to account information, to law enforcement officers or others, in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to: enforce TreadShare"s Terms of Use; respond to claims that any posting or other content violates the rights of third-parties; or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of TreadShare, its users, or the general public.

 

TreadShare may disclose information, including personal information from your account, to a third party if you request it in writing.

 

TreadShare may disclose your information to third parties for use by TreadShare to help provide the Services to you if allowed under federal, state and local laws. 

 

TreadShare may disclose your information to other business entities, should TreadShare plan to merge with or be acquired by that business entity. Client Data will only be transferred if a merger or acquisition actually takes place.

 

TreadShare may disclose information to other Users of the Application in order to provide the Services.

 

Payment

 

In order to make or receive payments through the Application, you may be required to provide TreadShare with payment details if you are a Rider (such as credit card number and expiration date) and bank account information if you are a Driver. To protect your privacy, your payment and bank account details are stored with Stripe.com. Please see Stripe.com"s privacy policy in regard to how your information may be used, stored, or otherwise made available to third parties. TreadShare does not have any access to your payment details.

 

 

International Users

 

By using the Site and/or Application, you agree and acknowledge that you are located in the United States and are not an international user.
